Go Wild Ballooning offer hot air balloon rides over the Yarra Valley every day of the year, weather permitting. Post flight enjoy a five-star champagne breakfast at the prestigious Chateau Yering Historic House Hotel and two complimentary tasting vouchers, for a wine tasting at Yering Station, and a cheese tasting at the Yarra Valley Dairy.


When your hot air balloon flight booking has been confirmed, a confirmation will be sent to you. It is essential that you read through the confirmation document and contact us if there is anything that you do not understand. All passengers are requested to phone the Duty Pilot the night before their flight to confirm the weather details and meeting time – phone 0418 395 867 between 6.30 and 7.30pm.


We meet at Chateau Yering Historic House Hotel, 42 Melba Highway, Yering (Melways Ref: 275 C5) approximately one hour before dawn (remember the exact time will be confirmed the night before your flight). From here we transport you by courtesy vehicle to a designated launch site. Launch and landing sites are determined by wind speed and direction on the morning of your flight.


Outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes. Dress for the weather conditions on the morning. Layers are a good idea also a cap or hat (the burners can put out a lot of heat) . Don’t forget your camera. We recommend putting in a spare pair of shoes and socks, the ground can be quite damp early in the morning.


Launch times are normally about 1 hour after we meet. Our aim is to be in the air before the sun rises.


Go Wild Ballooning have numerous hot air balloons varying in size from 2-20 passenger baskets. The most common size is a basket suitable for 8-10 passengers.
