Cooler temperatures that we experience over our autumn & winter seasons often provide us with calm, clear flying conditions. Its a combination of these factors that make afternoon hot air ballooning possible
Forget getting up early, sleep in, relax into the day with a leisurely breakfast or lunch before meeting up with our balloon team for an afternoon hot air ballooning adventure
With snow capped Mount Buller to the north east, Melbourne CBD skyline & Port Phillip Bay to the south west, Mt Dandenong to the south & the Great Dividing Range to the east, you’ll experience the amazing changes of the seasonal colours whilst gently floating like a bird over this beautiful region. As the sun sets over the horizon, your balloon flight draws to an end completing your afternoon hot air ballooning experience

Tuesday 2nd April 2024 to Friday 12th July 2024
Midweek Flight Rate $ 2745 per couple / 2 passengers
(midweek refers to Tues, Wed & Thurs)
Weekend Anyday Flight Rate $ 3745 per couple / 2 passengers
(weekend refers to Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon & all public holidays)
Larger group sizes, price on application
Flight duration approximately 30 – 45 minutes
Meeting point is the Chateau Yering Hotel / Yering Station car park
Meeting time will be advised by your pilot on the morning of your flight, approx early to mid afternoon
Allow up to 3 hours for your ballooning experience
Free in-flight photography on most flights at the pilots discretion & a Flight Certificate emailed to you via our reservations office
Important Booking Information
Book online & select your preferred dates, when your payment is received we will process your details and you will receive a Flight Itinerary Confirmation
We only accept one afternoon exclusive flight per day. If your preferred date is unavailable, we will confirm your alternate date

Valid for 12 months – midweek afternoon flights available to book & fly until 12/07/2024
If a flight is cancelled by the pilot, we email a Rebooking Link so you can reschedule and fly another day, pending availability
Passengers who have not completed their afternoon flight before 12/07/2024 will have the remaining validity period automatically transferred to a sunrise morning flight with a one hour flight duration.
Refundable – conditions apply In the event your flight is cancelled by the pilot you may send a refund request email. This email request is required within 14 days of the original confirmed flight date. If approved your refund will be processed less admin fees – see T&C’s. Refund requests received more than 14 days post the original cancelled flight date will not be eligible for a refund. You will need to reschedule to another day and complete you flight within your 12 month validity period or transfer your booking to other passengers, fees apply.
When any flight is cancelled by our pilot, we email a Rebooking Link so you may reschedule and fly on a better day
Your pilot will determine the launch site & flight path after evaluating the weather to provide you with the best flight experience
Transferable to other passengers, fees apply
No weekend or public holiday upgrades available if you purchase a midweek exclusive flight
Pending availability we will accept and confirm bookings up to 11:00am on the flight day
All aviation activities are weather dependant, so no flight can be 100% guaranteed

Book a candlelit dinner in Eleonore’s or enjoy a glass of wine in front of one of the many open fire places throughout the hotel. Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast in Sweetwater Cafe’ before heading out to further explore all the local attractions.
Accommodation is not weather affected. If your flight is cancelled by our pilot you are still required to proceed with your confirmed accommodation commitment & adhere to Chateau Yerings T&C’s & cancellation policy.
